Lunchtime is an important part of the school day which we want all our children to enjoy. Delicious and healthy school meals are cooked on site in our kitchen.
Caterlink provide the meals which cost £2.15 per day (Sept '16) or £10.75 per week which must be paid in advance. Please put payments in an envelope with your child’s name and class clearly marked on the front.
Universal Free School Meals are available from September 2014 for all children in Reception Year, Year 1 and Year 2. This means that each child in these year groups is entitled to a free school dinner each day. Please see the School Office if you haven't completed a claim form.
Children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 may prefer to bring a packed lunch to school. Please provide a healthy lunch in a named lunchbox.
Lunchtime Supervisors look after the children during the lunch break encouraging healthy food choices and involving the children in games and fun activities. We have a Lunch Time Charter devised by the School Council which states that we expect good table manners and behaviour that shows respect for each other.
We also have a Sports Coach who organises sporting activities during lunchtime for the children.
Every child in Key Stage 1 receives a piece of fruit each day in class.
